Bio: Ben is a new Computer Science graduate student at USM who plans to focus his studies/research on AI and Machine Learning. He has a strong interest in software development and hopes to incorporate this into his research. Beyond his studies, he enjoys playing basketball, working out, and playing poker.

Bio: Courtney is a student in the accelerated master’s program in Computer Science. She wants to further her studies in front-end and back-end development and their applications. Outside academics, she enjoys being active, hiking, camping, and baking.

Bio: Nick is a Computer Science graduate student focusing on Machine and Deep Learning. His current work includes research in AI detection, AI education for non-CS individuals, and AI as a creative tool. Outside of Computer Science, he enjoys making and listening to music, art, Bonsai, and bad sci-fi and horror movies from the 1980s and 90s. 

Domenic Mancuso

Bio: Domenic, a President’s Scholar at USM, is passionate about software development, AI, and machine learning. A graduate of Camden Military Academy as Valedictorian of the 2022 Corps of Cadets, he also attended Boston Public Schools. He was named Techie of the Year by the South Boston Boys and Girls Club in 2014 and participated in programs like the MIT Media Lab’s Scratch initiative. In summer 2024, he interned as an Associate Engineer at Abbott in Westbrook.

Bio: Wyatt is a computer science graduate student at USM and a research assistant in the AIIR Lab. His primary research interest is computer vision applications to forest resources and the environment.

Abigail Pitcairn

Bio: Abigail is enrolled in the accelerated master’s program in computer science, focusing on enhancing efficiency and ethics in modern computing. She has presented at Thinking Matters and SMAIDS, and published research at CCSCNE. Outside of academics, Abby works as an assistant teacher and data analyst. In her free time, she enjoys musical theater and hiking.
