Student Interns Over Summer Before Starting Graduate School

Ethan Gilles

Ethan Gilles is a senior Computer Science student at USM. Ethan has developed a well-rounded understanding of computer science principles through his coursework in object-oriented design, systems programming, and machine learning. He has also gained hands-on experience through multiple internships, including one last summer working directly with the Computer Science department chair. Ethan is an undergraduate research assistant, studying CNN model architecture for medical image classification through a Dubyak Center Scholarship. This summer, he will join Seagate as a Systems Firmware DevOps intern, and in the fall, he will begin his Master’s in Network Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. Outside of academics, he enjoys skiing, hiking, disc golf, and working on personal projects.Â
